Safety Guideline

For safety reasons, it is important to:

  • Fill out the PARQ&YOU form once a year.
  • Notify your doctor and the Bamboofit team if you become pregnant or your health condition changes and would like to continue exercising.
  • Wear training shoes. We recommend dance aerobic shoes or dance cross training shoes. Avoid shoes that only allow you to do a forward movement like running shoes.
  • Dress comfortably.
  • Bring your personal belongings to the studio and leave the boots and coat at the coat room.
  • Maintain a balanced and nutritional diet, especially the days you exercise. If necessary, seek advice of a professional nutritionist.
  • Hydrate well your body before, during and after the Zumba class. This is especially important during the summer days. You may bring your own bottle of water to class.
  • Temporarily stop your workout routine if you have a severe flu, cough or sneezing.
  • Smoking on the premises is forbidden.
  • Protect well your body from the cold and hot weather before, during and after exercising.
  • Arrive on time to class.
  • Do the full warm up (first song) and stretching (last song).
  • Listen to your body. Slowly increase the intensity of your movements until you feel comfortable with them. 
  • Stop immediately and advise someone from the Bamboofit team if you ever feel chest/joint/bone pain, dizzy or very weak while exercising.
  • Keep your voices down during the stretching.
  • Make sure to place the weights on a safe spot to avoid injuries while doing the Zumba Toning class.
  • Stretch more at home to avoid muscle pain and to relax all your muscles from any tensions.
